JAKARTA: Senin 20 Februari 2012, sebagai bagian dari program Satu Indonesia, Politeknik Manufaktur Astra (Polman Astra) membuka peluang bagi siswa-siswa SMA/SMK/sederajat terbaik dari semua jurusan di seluruh Indonesia yang akan lulus pada Mei 2012 nanti untuk berkompetisi mendapatkan Beasiswa Prestasi. Program yang dilaksanakan tahun ini merupakan program tahun keempat sejak pertama kali diluncurkan pada 28 Oktober 2008, yang bertujuan untuk memberikan kesempatan untuk siswa-siswa terbaik di Indonesia belajar pada 7 program studi maupun konsentrasi di Polman Astra yaitu Pembuatan Peralatan dan Perkakas Produksi (P4), Teknik Produksi dan Proses Manufaktur (TPM), Mekatronika (MK), Teknik Pengolahan dan Hasil Perkebunan (TPHP), Manajemen Informatika (MI), Teknik Otomotif (TO) dan Teknik Alat Berat (TAB), dengan strata pendidikan Diploma 3 (D3).

Di awal program, jumlah beasiswa yang disediakan sejumlah 25% dari kapasitas yang ada kemudian meningkat menjadi 35% dari kapasitas atau 86 kursi sampai dengan tahun ini. Tahun ini seleksi beasiswa diikuti oleh siswa-siwa terbaik wakil dari 21 propinsi berlangsung cukup ketat dan terjadi peningkatan signifikan pada jumlah pendaftar yang mengajukan aplikasinya menjadi 2.850 aplikan dari 1.097 aplikan atau naik 159,80% dari tahun sebelumnya. Beasisiwa yang diberikan dalam program ini adalah pembebasan biaya sumbangan pendidikan dan uang kuliah serta pemberian uang saku bulanan untuk program Beasiswa Penuh.

Dari seluruh aplikasi yang masuk tersebut dilakukan seleksi administratif pada tahap awal untuk selanjutnya mengikuti tahapan seleksi berikutnya berupa psikotes, wawancara sampai dengan tes kesehatan di tahap seleksi terakhir. Seleksi tahap kedua berupa psikotes, tahun ini selain di Jakarta juga dilaksanakan serentak di kota Pematang Siantar, Pandan, Padang, Prabumulih, Pemalang, Purworejo, Solo, Pati, Surabaya, Jombang, Kediri, Malang dan Jember. Mulai tahun ini, untuk program TAB, Polman Astra bekerja sama dengan PT. United Tractors, Tbk. (UT), sedangkan pada program TO bekerja sama dengan PT. Astra International, Tbk. – Toyota Sales Operation (Auto2000) dan PT. Astra International, Tbk – Daihatsu Sales Operation (AI-DSO).

Selain beasiswa prestasi yang diberikan mulai tahun pertama, Polman Astra juga memberikan beasiswa prestasi bagi 3 mahasiswa terbaik pada setiap program saat kenaikan ke tingkat 2 dan tingkat 3. Sebagai gambaran, saat ini dari 684 orang yang tercatat sebagai mahasiswa Polman Astra merupakan wakil dari dari 26 propinsi dari 33 propinsi di Indonesia, dengan mayoritas berasal dari Jabodetabek dan Banten. Sejak meluluskan pertama tahun pertama di tahun 1998, Polman Astra telah meluluskan 1.854 wisudawan, dan saat ini setiap tahunnya sekitar 50% lulusan diserap pada industri di grup Astra, sedangkan 35% diserap di value chain Astra maupun industri lainnya serta sisanya melanjutkan studi dan wirausaha

Hyde Park Central School District
The Hyde Park Central School District provides K-12 public education for the town of Hyde Park and parts of the city of Poughkeepsie, Rhinebeck, Clinton and Pleasant Valley. He has seven schools, three of which were built in the Hyde Park Central School District with a grant from the Public Works Administration (PWA) the administration of Franklin Delano Roosevelt: the original Haviland Middle School is dedicated to Franklin Delano Roosevelt High School, but later changed its name in the construction of the new high school building, Hyde Park Elementary School and the School of Violet Street Primary. The total cost of construction of three historic buildings is $ 1,300,000 with a $ 585,000 grant from the PWA. Construction began in December 1938 and was completed in December 1939. The three buildings are still working in district schools.

Haviland Middle School

Originally called the "Franklin Delano Roosevelt High School", the building was renamed "Haviland Middle School" in 1966, when a new High School building was built in South Cross Street. Benjamin Haviland is the farmer who originally owned the land the school was built.

Hyde Park Elementary School
Since completing in 1939, Hyde Park Elementary School has had three additions. In 1955, six classrooms were added in 1963, plus a fitness room, library and art. The latest addition in 1990, when a wing was added BOCES.

Violet Street Primary School
Violet Road, the name of a flower shop grows a wagon steamed a lot of purple flowers and purple for shipment to New York.

Culinary Institute of America
Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park campus opened in 1970 at the site of a former Jesuit seminary.

Founded in 1975 by Peter Kump, the school offers a very successful 8 to 12-month career training programs in Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry Art and Culinary Management and Hospitality Management. Culinary Arts and Baking Arts program each of which includes 210-hour externship off-site, usually in a highly respected New York restaurants, including the famous restaurant kitchens like Daniel, Nobu, Aquavit, Gramercy Tavern, Le Bernardin and Per Se. Students who choose externships outside of New York ICE utilize national and international relationships and reputation to get into the best kitchen. After graduation, ICE offers on-going job placement assistance.

ICE comprehensive curriculum that allows students to enter the culinary world in at least 8 months. This efficiency does not come at the expense of accuracy; small class sizes and experienced Chef-Instructors allows each student to reach his or potential fast. The maximum class size is 16 students in Culinary Arts and Baking and Pastry Arts, and 20 students in culinary management and Hospitality Management.

ICE also offers a 1700 hands-on cooking classes, wine, cakes and recreational education to 26 000 students each year. In addition, the ICE host hundreds of companies and private hands-on cooking events each year.
